My initial response to Busters work is that it is very futuristic and interesting. I can’t seem to stop looking at it because every way that I look at it I find something new and interesting. I love the circular shapes that he creates and I love that the material is see through so that no matter what you can tell what is on the inside of the object. I like that this is an object that can be used for a purpose and at the same time it could be just for show as well which makes it intriguing with in its self. The material s so shear and it looks so delicate with the mix of the circle shapes and using the white material, the entire shape gives off a delicate view to it. With the fact that all of his pieces vary in size, the interaction that the viewer has with the object is going to be different, because if it is big and on the ground you are going to see all of the sides and maybe the inside, but if it is hanging from the ceiling and it is medium in size the viewer is going to be looking at it from the bottom, the inside and maybe the sides. The texture that is presented with these objects is that the inside structure shows through the material which makes the fabric rough in texture but also it ads visual texture because it is a white texture and the you see the black wire lines. I would love to own any of his pieces just because they are so interesting but gentle and beautiful.
