The fist thing that I noticed when looking at his work is that there is no active function to the objects; they are more for viewing purposes. As I was looking more and more at the artwork I realized that it looks like he has a story behind every piece of his work. All of the objects seem to be created so that every angle and every line is put there for a reason or every piece is created either with more material to describe how in depth his meaning is to his work. I personally think that his work is beautiful, very detailed and very intriguing when you look at it. All of his materials seem to be organic materials like wood and metals, but the way that he turns these organic materials in to inorganic shapes that I find very interesting to the eye. His shapes range from very big bulky shapes to single stranded materials empty shapes but they are all inorganic which ties them together. I noticed that he does a lot of weaving and when I saw the objects that had weaving I thought that they looked a lot like baskets. Then the shapes that are made from a metal material and are shaped like a circle can be related to because it is a common shape that everyone knows but there are changes in the material; or the color that catches the viewers eye. One thing that I thought of is that a lot of the bulky objects and the one ladder piece, they are big enough that the viewer is going to have to react to the object with their whole body and not just with their eyes. Overall with his work I love that you can tell how much work he put into it and all of the detail is really amazing to look at.
